A kayak touring company, very appropriately called Get Up And Go Kayaking, rents out unique crystal clear kayaks on their tours, so that tourists can experience nature around them in 360 view.

But during one tour in their 100% see-through kayaks, a couple from Britain experienced something that only Mother Nature can provide - and up close and personal encounter with one very friendly manatee! The mammal was so accustomed to seeing humans, that he lingered around until they stopped, so that he can get his complimentary belly rubs.

On the company’s Facebook page is the original video, which caption says: “This manatee encounter was a special one! “Arthur" the manatee followed us around for nearly 35 minutes wanting to get rubbed. He rolled over to let this couple from England give him a pet on the belly. What an experience - not sure who loved it more, Arthur, or our guests!"

West Indian Manatee, or Florida Manatee, was placed on the Endangered Species List in the 1970s, when there were only several hundred left, and has been of great conservation concern to federal, state, private, and nonprofit organizations to protect these species from natural and human-induced threats like collisions with boat propeller blades. On March 30, 2017, the US Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke announced the federal reclassification of the manatee from endangered to threatened as the number of sea cows had increased to over 6,000.
