Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas temporarily avoided impeachment after the House voted to refer the matter to the Homeland Security Committee for an investigation into whether the Biden administration official should be charged with high crimes and misdemeanors for his handling of the southern border.

Thousands of pro-Israel protesters are expected to descend on the National Mall in Washington on Tuesday to combat rising antisemitism in the March for Israel. The March for Israel is the product of a collaboration between the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and the Jewish Federations of North America, according to a report, in an effort to bring together those who remain stalwart in their support of the Jewish state.

Will there be a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip? For Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government, the answer is a quick and emphatic “no.” Or at least it’s a “no” as long as Hamas, the terrorist organization that committed the worst attack in Israel’s history, continues to hold the approximately 240 or so hostages it captured on Oct. 7. As Netanyahu stressed on U.S. television last week, "there'll be no ceasefire, general ceasefire, in Gaza without the release of our hostages.”
