Series of continuing small earthquakes cause cracks in Iceland road

Hundreds of small earthquakes for the past two weeks have cracked roads in the Icelandic town of Grindvik, as scientists monitor a buildup of magma some 5 kilometers underground.
Residents of Grindavik have been briefly allowed to return to their homes after being told to evacuate on Saturday due to increasing concern about a potential volcanic eruption causing civil defense authorities to declare a state of emergency in the region.
