My climate is not favorable for Tolumnias for 4 months of the year. The night temperatures are too low for them, so, the little Tolumnias that I have left are precious to me. When they bloom, I enjoy the blooms for a little bit, and then cut the spike off to give them time to rest. Tolumnia spikes should NOT be cut off, because they will branch and bloom for a very long time. However, that takes the energy out of my tolumnias, and I need to ensure their survival for 4 months of the year, for that reason, I cut my spikes after I feel I have enjoyed the blooms enough. #orchideen #orquideas #orchidcare #tolumnia
