Anatoli Brouchkov is a Russian scientist who injected himself with 3.5 million-year-old bacteria in 2015. He discovered the bacteria, Bacillus F, in 2009, frozen deep in the permafrost on a mountain in Siberia's Yakutsk region. Despite its advanced age, the bacteria was still alive, and Dr. Brouchkov was impressed with it.
