The Shri Vittal Birdev Yatra in Pattan Kodoli of Kolhapur Marks The Annual Fair of The Shepherd Community. Shri Vittal Birdev festival is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Vitthal Birdev Maharaj, who is considered to be a reincarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Every year for four days, the village of Pattan Kodoli, in Maharashtra's Kolhapur district, turns yellow with clouds of turmeric.
