New Detroit Meijer store, apartment units to grace East Jefferson Avenue

City officials held a news conference Thursday morning to announce a new mixed-use development coming to the Lafayette community including a Meijer-owned fresh grocery market. Located on East Jefferson Avenue, the market is expected to be around 42,000 square feet and bring 70 full-time jobs.
