Once a boil water advisory ends, that does not mean residents can drink or use the water right away, said Leigh-Ann Stafford, health officer for Oakland County. Residents need to be aware of affected appliances and devices, including medical and water filtration devices, hot water tanks, ice machines, coffee machines and pop machines.
