Why is Beijing covering up research on cancer-triggering mechanisms?

What happened at a cancer research center at Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital in Guangzhou can be troubling. At least three doctoral students at the center were diagnosed with cancer. The news censorship and the center’s quick shutdown are more suspicious. Was the unnatural outbreak of cancer a lab safety accident or a reckless study of “disease-causing genetic weapons?”
