The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza says operations have been suspended at the Al-Shifa hospital complex in Gaza. A spokesperson for the Hamas-run health ministry told Reuters that Al-Shifa - the largest medical facility in Gaza - ran out of fuel. "As a result, one newborn baby died inside the incubator, where there are 45 babies," says Ashraf Al-Qidra.
Israeli forces have surrounded Gaza City's Al-Shifa hospital and there's great concern for staff and patients who remain there. “ We are besieged inside al-Shifa Medical Complex,” hospital spokesperson al-Qudra said.
The Israeli military ratcheted up its airstrikes inside Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah weapons depots and intelligence infrastructure. The IDF said that they were retaliating to a series of drone and missile attacks by the powerful Lebanese militant group. The IDF is said to have conducted its deepest drone strike some 45 km north of the border with Lebanon since the war began.
