The Great Wall of China is the longest feat of human engineering. The average height of the walls is 20 to 23 feet, and the highest is 46 feet. One common misconception is that the Great Wall of China is visible to the naked eye from space. Unfortunately, to see the wall from the moon, you need an advanced lens. For the construction of this enormous project, more than one million labourers were recruited. It spans 15 regions in north China. It attracts 50 million tourists to China annually and hosts more than 460 state heads and VIPs around the world. The most visited section is known as Badaling and is near Beijing.
