Highlights of what happened globally in the sport of sailing in the last 7 days.
Since last Tuesday all of the fleet in the 2023 Transat Jacques Vabre have started, and we commence this week's Sailing World on Water with the latest Daily Report that we have to hand. November 8.

This is your weekly Global Sailing highlights show, the World on Water, November 10, 2023.

The training has begun in the near-perfect conditions of Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Alinghi Red Bull Racing being the first team to train on the crystal waters of the Red Sea. As an opening shake-down sail, this was electric and all credit to the Swiss for being the first team operational at their Jeddah base, on the Obhur Creek.

In this video, Pip explains how she's feeling, ahead of the start of the Transat Jacques Vabre. Unfortunately she had an incident at the start which has cost her a time penalty. She sailed Medallia inside between the start line distance marker, and the starting boat.

The Clipper Race is 70 foot yachts crewed by paying novices, with professional crew, and it is the experience of a lifetime. It is currently closing in on Cape Town from their stopover in Brazil, and here are the latest onboat reports from Qindao, and Dare to Win.

Hervé and Jean-Yves have not bought a ticket back to France, nor reserved a cargo ship ro transport their Class40, and for good reason. They are the first crew from Martinique in the history of the race, so the two friends are going home, aboard their Martinique, Tchalian, the old, yet solid, Manuard designed number 104, that they chartered and took over in September.

It’s a truly international picture in the 37th America’s Cup at the moment with the teams training hard around the globe. Watch Ineos Britannia, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, and Alinghi Red Bull Racing update us, in this latest recon video from Jeddah, Barcelona and Cagliari.
