Ingredients:

Urad dal (black gram) - 1 cup
Moong dal (green gram) - 1/4 cup
Salt - to taste
Asafoetida (hing) - 1/4 teaspoon
Oil - for frying
Yogurt - 2 cups
Cold water - 1 cup
Salt - to taste
Tamarind pulp - 1 teaspoon
Fresh coriander leaves - for garnishing

Instructions:

Wash and soak urad dal and moong dal separately in water for 4-5 hours.
Grind the soaked and drained urad dal to a slightly coarse paste. Moong dal should be finely ground.
Add salt and asafoetida to both dals, mix well.
Combine the dal mixture with boiling water in a pan, add oil and mix well.
Once the oil is hot, drop small portions of the urad dal mixture into it and fry until golden brown.
Allow the fried yogurt balls to cool.
In a plate, take yogurt and add cold water, salt, and tamarind pulp. Mix well.
Dip the cooled fried yogurt balls into this mixture, ensuring they soak it well.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
