National Constitution Center

Exactly 92 years after the infamous Buck versus Bell decision, the Center presents a partial screening of "A Dangerous Idea: Eugenics, Genetics and the American Dream."

An award-winning documentary exploring the legal history of the eugenics movement in the United States.

Following the screening, join the film's co-writer and executive producer Andrew Kimbrell, acclaimed author and journalist Daniel Okrent, and law and bioethics scholars Paul Lombardo and Dorothy Roberts.

For a conversation exploring the dark history of eugenics and the Constitution.

Jeffrey Rosen, president and CEO of the National Constitution Center, moderates.

War Against the Weak: Eugenics and America's Campaign to Create a Master Race

War Against the Weak is the gripping chronicle documenting how American corporate philanthropies launched a national campaign of ethnic cleansing in the United States, helped found and fund the Nazi eugenics of Hitler and Mengele -- and then created the modern movement of "human genetics." Some 60,000 Americans were sterilized under laws in 27 states. This expanded edition includes two new essays on state genocide.

The Guarded Gate: Bigotry, Eugenics and the Law That Kept Two Generations of Jews, Italians, and Other European Immigrants Out of America

A forgotten, dark chapter of American history with implications for the current day, The Guarded Gate tells the story of the scientists who argued that certain nationalities were inherently inferior, providing the intellectual justification for the harshest immigration law in American history.

Brandished by the upper class Bostonians and New Yorkers—many of them progressives—who led the anti-immigration movement, the eugenic arguments helped keep hundreds of thousands of Jews, Italians, and other unwanted groups out of the US for more than 40 years.

Over five years in the writing, The Guarded Gate tells the complete story from its beginning in 1895, when Henry Cabot Lodge and other Boston Brahmins launched their anti-immigrant campaign. In 1921, Vice President Calvin Coolidge declared that "biological laws" had proven the inferiority of southern and eastern Europeans; the restrictive law was enacted three years later.

In his characteristic style, both lively and authoritative, Okrent brings to life the rich cast of characters from this time, including Lodge's closest friend, Theodore Roosevelt; Charles Darwin's first cousin, Francis Galton, the idiosyncratic polymath who gave life to eugenics; the fabulously wealthy and profoundly bigoted Madison Grant, founder of the Bronx Zoo, and his best friend, H. Fairfield Osborn, director of the American Museum of Natural History; Margaret Sanger, who saw eugenics as a sensible adjunct to her birth control campaign; and Maxwell Perkins, the celebrated editor of Hemingway and Fitzgerald.

A work of history relevant for today, The Guarded Gate is an important, insightful tale that painstakingly connects the American eugenicists to the rise of Nazism, and shows how their beliefs found fertile soil in the minds of citizens and leaders both here and abroad.

The Depopulation Agenda - Bill Gates Plans to Kill You

The American Eugenics Society (AES) was one of the leading theories, which emerged out of Authoritarian Capitalism at the turn of the 20th century. It was founded by the famed eugenicist and conservationist Madison Grant (1865-1937), who was an American lawyer, writer, and zoologist. Madison Grant's book, The Passing of the Great Race, was devoted to an attempt to give the meaning of history through his view of race.

Grant looked at civilization by race, not politics or language. He argued that European ethnic groups such as the Alpine and Nordic so-called, races were superior. This book was first published in 1916, and it formed the foundation of the American Eugenics Society of which Bill Gates Sr. was a member.

For over twenty years Bill Gates and his Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) have been vaccinating foremost children by the millions in remote areas of poor countries, mostly Africa and Asia. Most of their vaccination program had disastrous results, causing the very illness (polio, for example in India) and sterilizing young women (Kenya, with modified tetanus vaccines). Many of the children died. Many of the programs were carried out with the backing of the WHO and – yes – the UN Agency responsible for the Protection of Children, UNICEF.

Most of these vaccination campaigns were implemented without the informed-consent of the children, parents, guardians or teachers, nor with the informed-consent, or with forged consent, of the respective government authorities. In the aftermath, The Gates Foundation was sued by governments around the world, Kenya, India, the Philippines... and more.

Bill Gates has a strange image of himself. He sees himself as The Messiah who saves the world through vaccination, and through population reduction.
