Surah An-Nisa is the fourth chapter of the Quran, consisting of 176 verses. The title derives from the numerous references to women throughout the chapter, including verse 34 and verses 4:127-130. The chapter aims to protect the newly formed Muslim community by outlining acceptable behavior for Muslims. Surah An-Nisa also refers to obligatory bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage with a good heart, but if they remit any part of it to you, take it and enjoy it without fear of any harm.
