Surah Al-Kahf is the 18th chapter of the Quran with 110 verses. It is an earlier "Meccan surah" and was revealed in Mecca instead of Medina. The surah mentions three stories, the people of the cave, the story of Musa, and of Dhu’l Qarnayn. It warns against the dangers of pleasures and their allure which can cause people to behave in strange ways that go against teachings of Islam. Surah Al-Kahf appears in Juzz 15th and 16th and has 1,577 words, 6,360 letters, and consists of 12 Rukus. Reciting Surah Al-Kahf on Friday illuminates one with light from one Friday to the next. The Arabic word Kahf literally means a vast cave.
