Islam | Qur'an | 02. Surah Ali Imran

Surah Al-Imran is the third chapter of the Quran with 200 verses.12 It is named after the family of Imran, which includes Imran, Saint Anne, Mary, and Jesus. The surah recounts the early life of Maryam and Isa, his birth and miracles he performed. It also covers events related to the battles of Uhud and Badr, which were two major wars between the Muslims and the Meccans. The surah is believed to have been either the second or third of the Medinan surahs, as it references both the events of the battles of Badr and Uhud. The main theme of the surah is the calling of believers to solidarity and patience in the face of the enemies of Islam.
