The Republican debate in Miami on Wednesday lacked many fireworks. Not a great disaster either, despite Vivek Ramaswamy's ongoing demonstration of his ineptitude as president—in Chris Christie's famous words from a prior debate, he sounds more "like ChatGPT."

Was there a definite victor? Can you really proclaim one when Donald Trump isn't on stage and is instead doing a rally in Hialeah, roughly ten miles away?

Ron DeSantis had a terrific night on Wednesday. At the Adrienne Arsht Centre for the Performing Arts, he had the opportunity to speak extensively about Israel, taking down Mexican cartels, and other subjects because there were only five contenders on stage.
