Out of Place Buck

Occurred on October 18, 2017 / Ortley Beach, New Jersey, USA

Info from Licensor: "There are no deer on the barrier island, so it was uncommon to see this young 6 point buck strolling the shoreline. He most likely came across the bay from the main land and made his way to the ocean. He was so beautiful and looked like a statue standing in the waves. At times he was frightened and confused and would swim way out into the ocean and them come back riding the waves in. Animal control would not sedate him for fear of him running back into the water and drowning. It was getting dark and became difficult to see him. The next morning he was gone. I can only hope that he waited until it got dark and felt it was safe to cross the island to the bay and head back to the main land."
