Dr. Isabel Perez: E-MOTION AND TEETH
YOUR MOUTH IS A MIRROR OF YOUR EMOTIONAL AND HEALTH CONFLICTS.
We usually see tooth decay, gum disease, and other oral health conditions, but what if we can identify signs of emotional and health imbalances during a dental evaluation?

What if our patient's mouth reflects some emotional conflicts stored at an unconscious level, causing more damage than they think?

In psychology, raising the awareness of unconscious or trapped emotions can significantly influence the processing of emotional wounds, stuck patterns, emotional reactivity, depression, anxiety, and trauma.

The health of the body begins with the mouth.
We understand the direct relationship between oral disease and systemic diseases through research. However, the next step is to look beyond the physical body and include the mental-emotional components of the disease process.

Are we energy beings?
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), each tooth is associated with an acupuncture meridian connected to various organs, tissues, and glands of the body on that meridian or energy channel. Therefore, a toothache or other problem with the teeth could indicate problems in the corresponding organs due to a blockage in the flow of chi or life energy that is causing an energetic shift.

Discover the connection between teeth, meridians, organs, and specific emotions.
Emotion is the experience of energy moving through our bodies. So we can find that trapped emotions can cause a blockage or imbalance in the flow of the energetic pathways associated with a particular organ system. The Chinese acupuncture literature has assigned specific emotions to certain acupuncture meridians and organs for years, if not hundreds of years.

Dr. Isabel would like to invite you to look at teeth through a different filter.
