Karine Jean-Pierre Won't Say Biden Thinks The Anti-Israel Protesters In This Country Are Extremists

Karine Jean-Pierre Tries to Clean Up After Another Awful Response at the WH Briefing: Has there ever been a worse White House press secretary in recent memory than Karine Jean-Pierre? Sure, Jean-Pierre's predecessor Jen Psaki told many lies, but at least she was a little better at not being totally tone-deaf when it came to some of the issues of the day and then having to attempt some one-eighties the next day.

Yesterday brought with it another example of Jean-Pierre refusing to condemn something because she's afraid of offending the most radical of the radicals in her party: Karine Jean-Pierre plays dumb when asked to comment on people tearing down posters of hostages, including children, taken by Hamas in Israel: "I've sorta, kinda seen the reporting, here and there...I'm just not gonna go into specifics on that particular thing."

That shouldn't really be surprising coming from the Biden press secretary who wouldn't speak out against pro-Hamas protesters in the U.S.: "Does President Biden think the anti-Israel protesters in this country are extremists?" Karine Jean-Pierre won't say. This time, however, her answer about people ripping down posters of kidnapped Israelis must not have gone well behind closed doors at the White House. As she often does after an answer -- or non-answer in this case -- Jean-Pierre then took to X to add some spin.

"Clean-up on aisle KJP!" -- “As a result of the Hamas terrorist attacks, communities and families are grieving. For the past month, the families of those who have been taken hostage have lived in agony. Tearing down pictures of their loved ones - who are being held hostage by Hamas - is wrong and hurtful.” -- I'm a little surprised that KJP didn't manage to find an opportunity to point out how repugnant antisemites tearing down posters of kidnapped Israelis is just another sign of how Islamophobia is out of control.

When you suck so bad at answering simple questions the podium you have to tweet them instead… Why is it so difficult to say this from the podium on national TV? Why is always a message on X after the fact? Erick Erickson knows the answer to that one: “What she broadcasts on TV will get far more play than a tweet that corrects her. She knows it. Remember, she turned a question of antisemitism into one about Islamophobia, apologized, then the whole White House moved to Islamophobia. -- Bingo!”
