Mississippi Republican Governor Tate Reeves reelected

Mississippi Republican Gov. Tate Reeves won a second term in the state’s gubernatorial election on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2023. He defeated his Democratic challenger Brandon Presley.

Reeves is the 65th governor of Mississippi and has been in office since January 2020. He previously served as the state’s lieutenant governor and state treasurer.

He thanks his supporters and promises to continue working for the people of Mississippi. He also praises Presley for running a respectful campaign and says he hopes to work with him in the future.
