Putin’s newest warship destroyed by Ukraine's Storm Shadow missiles in Crimea

Putin’s newest $34M warship is destroyed by Ukrainian Storm Shadow missile. Ukraine claims to have destroyed one of Russia’s most-modern warships. Footage from Crimea taken at the weekend shows what appears to be Storm Shadow missiles hitting the Askold, a $34million Russian corvette.
The ships only began entering service in Putin’s navy in 2018. And the Askold was the latest ship of that class to be produced. Images taken afterwards appear to confirm heavy damage to the vessel. It is just the latest disaster to befall Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. The Moskva sank last year, and this year drones have struck multiple ships. The fleet has now largely relocated to Novorossiysk to keep it safe. Allowing Ukraine to reopen its souther ports, even though it has no navy.
