A 2010 film by Italian film director Massimo Mazzucco. This film discusses how certain wealthy people took control of Western medicine (in the US and/or in Europe) in the early 1900’s and created a medical establishment which acted and continues to act to unethically shut down alternative or natural medicine. The film then goes on to discuss numerous specific alternative, nature based cures for cancer and how each of them has been shut down by the medical establishment.

The financial prospects of cancer treatment started to outweigh humanitarian concerns almost overnight, according to the film's interview subjects. Drug companies prospered, the cost of additional treatment resources such as radium doubled many times over, research dollars were devoted to pharmaceutical endeavors instead of those aimed at finding a cure, critics within the medical community were discredited as "quacks", and promising alternative therapies were never given an opportunity to succeed.

This documentary talks about the current pharmaceutical industry and how much it's influence has changed Washington and it's policies on the medical industry.

Many years ago a Native American tribe had developed a treatment for cancer which uses all natural herbs and spices. The treatment also says it is necessary to change ones diet during the treatment. The recipe for this herbal formula was given to a man named Hoxsey in which he started a cancer clinic in Texas. The clinic became a huge success and they were curing 80% of cancer patients whom walked through that door. The cure isn't an overnight process, it takes a few years for the treatment to fully work. But majority of the people that were treated were cured and cured for the rest of their lives, unlike with the traditional approach where the costs are astronomical and if the cancer does go away, it's only for a short time period and eventually comes back. This film changed my entire scope on the medical industry and changed my thoughts on Cancer being the end all if a patient were ever diagnosed with it.

Harry Hoxsey shows up, and you get to see scenes from a rare movie that Hoxsey himself made in 1957 called You Don’t Have to Die. It is so rare, you can’t even find a mention of it at the Internet Movie Database.

They even got Morris Fishbein on film. This is the creep who ran medicine for nearly 50 years. He destroyed many people, many companies, and the damage he did to the health care system of the time killed untold numbers of suffering humans. However, the Hoxsey affair was his downfall. He was forced to resign after libeling Hoxsey and eventually had to admit that Hoxsey was curing cancer.
The section on Max Gerson was interesting, especially the deja vue section: they borrowed scenes from Dying to have Known. The scenes they used were the most powerful, the contraposed scenes of so-called medical experts proclaiming that no one has ever been cured of cancer at the Gerson clinic, juxtaposed with patients telling their story.

Finally, you’ll see some of the latest advances in alternative therapies, including a physician who is curing cancer with baking soda even after he’s lost his license to practice medicine. For you history buffs, this is a must have. For you people looking for options outside of conventional medicine, this could save your life. It is very well done and well worth a watch.
