Rep. Comer says he plans to demand contempt of Congress charges for anyone that defies subpoena

House Oversight Chairman James Comer says he plans to go to Speaker Mike Johnson’s office and demand contempt of Congress charges for anyone that attempts to defy a subpoena: “This is a very credible, very serious investigation of criminal wrongdoing, of public corruption. And we expect people to come to Congress and if they don’t, I think they should be held in contempt.”
