May 1st, 2023

As the water covers the sea
So shall I cover my people with my Spirit
I will make myself known to my chosen people

Write it in a book
All that I declare unto you
I will speak to my people
That they would know that I am not a God who is silent
But I am a God who will speak
I have given you a mouth that you might speak my words to them
Do not hesitate but speak everything as I command you

Tell of my great salvation
Make ready for me a people of my own possession
Begin where I have planted you
I have given you everything that you need
Do not marvel at this word
And say to yourselves “How can this be?”
I am the Lord
Have I not spoken in days of old in like manner?
But now, as the day draws near I will raise my voice
I will raise up my chosen generation
I will raise up my witnesses
To speak in my name
to make ready the way of the Lord

If you had loved me, you would glorify my name
You would lift your hands to me and say “Holy is the Lord”
You would raise your voice in my temple
To utter praises to my name
But rather you would sit in silence with hands folded
And deny what you see even with your own eyes
Repent, O you doubters and bring glory to my name
I have many things yet to speak unto you
But your ears are too dull to hear me now

There is a sound
Rising up from the nations
A song of praise to the Lord
The sound of many voices
Gathered in my name
A great choir
Formed of every tribe and tongue
It is a pleasing sound to my ears

Stay ready
Make room for me
I am raising up my trumpets
Listen all you who have ears to hear
If you long to see my day
Soon you will see it

Do not fear the sound of distant thunder
For I will be your covering
