Donald Trump leads Joe Biden in key swing states, new polling suggests

US President Joe Biden trails Donald Trump in five of the six most important battleground states exactly a year before the US election, new polls suggest.

The New York Times and Siena College said Mr Trump leads Mr Biden in Nevada, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Wisconsin is the only swing state that The New York Times and Siena College polled where Biden has the edge.

Americans will head to the polls in November 2024 to elect the next US president.
