WarCraft 3 Reforged, Campaign [19] (no commentary)

Prince Kael'thas follows Garathos' orders, killing the undead and repairing the observatories. Later when Garathos comes to inspect Kael's work, he accuses Kael of working with the Naga. While its true Kael took ships from them he did not actually do anything for them and followed orders. Garathos just looking for an excuse to get rid of the Bloodelves makes it a bigger deal than it is. He warns Kael to not deal with them again. Days later the Undead Scourge come in force towards the ruins of Dalaran. An Emissary serving Garathos orders all but the Bloodelves to the front lines, leaving Kael and his men alone and under equipped for the horde that is approaching them.
