The Marsh King's Daughter, starring Daisy Ridley, failed to find an audience and didn't make it into the top 10 at the box office.
Despite positive performances from Ridley and other talented cast members, the film suffered from formulaic storytelling.
Five Nights at Freddy's, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and Killers of the Flower Moon all outperformed The Marsh King's Daughter.
Sadly, the Force was not with Daisy Ridley this weekend. The Star Wars alumna's latest feature film The Marsh King’s Daughter began its theatrical run on November 3, but director Neil Burger’s psychological thriller failed to find any semblance of an audience. In fact, The Marsh King’s Daughter couldn’t even crack the Top 10 domestically.

The Marsh King’s Daughter made a dismal $849,120 (per Box Office Mojo), which was only good enough to score 13th place over the weekend. By comparison, the other newcomers Radical ($2.7 million) placed fifth, while Meg Ryan’s new rom-com What Happens Later ($1.6 million) took the No. 9 spot. Priscilla ($5 million) expanded to 1,359 theaters, which helped filmmaker Sofia Coppola’s love story land 4th place.
