All about the outward appearance (first on clothes and finally on skin or race). The Bible says that God Judges man based on man's heart while man judges man based on man's outward appearance. The Bible also says that if all cretans are liars that they then should be treated as such (this was Paul quoting the stoics). This is a thorny issue delved into in this conversation, and it was important to hear the whole of options that befell folks in America to compare them to one another.
