Bongoland - Florida's Original Theme Park

Bongoland was established in the late 1940's, within 5 years of its opening, it closed. It was the first theme park attempt in the state of Florida and it just wasn't the right time. Ruins of the park are still visited. Left are a few of the original dinosaurs, the flower garden, old sugar mill ruins (which are still haunted by the spirits of the Seminole Indians). Gone are the train that went around the park and the Baboon for which the park was named "BONGO".
