"Coffee with"...Duquesne Cook, President of Rahm Roast, and Lori Krajewski (Ep 22)

Today, I'm so excited to share coffee connection and learn more about Duquesne! We met a little over a year ago at an expo event, and it was immediately apparently that he is a remarkable person! We worked so hard for the event that we didn't get to know one another, so this interview was an excellent opportunity to learn more about his life and his work - oh, and we talked COFFEE! 😁

Duquesne graduated college from University of Louisville with a MAT and University of Tennessee - Knoxville with a Psychology major and Business plus History minor. While at University of Tennessee, he captained his rugby team and won multiple awards such as student athlete of the year, volunteer of the year, and the Sexton scholarship for leadership.
He is notable for having over 5 years of experience working for a foundation in a leadership role, gaining experience in fundraiser planning, Board of Director meetings, and assigning jobs to employees. He has also taught middle school social studies for 3 years in a high need school in Kentucky. While there, he became the content lead for his team, chosen to be sort of the literacy and racial equity teams, as well as being awarded “New Teacher of the Year” for his school.

He currently works for DRC Ventures, heading the finance department and HR department. In addition, he assists the leadership team with running the office and representing the company at various functions. He is the President for Rahm Roast and is responsible for strategic planning as the company grows.
