Firearms stolen from unmarked KCSO vehicle

The Kern County Sheriff's Office confirmed Tuesday that items were stolen from an unmarked KCSO vehicle.  The stolen items included four firearms and ammunition. Officials said the items were stolen sometime during the late evening hours of October 16th into the early morning hours of October 17th. KCSO said the car was parked on Avanti Drive near La Fortuna Way in northwest Bakersfield. Tuesday morning when detectives arrived on scene they were able to recover several stolen items, including one of the stolen firearms, but three remain outstanding.
