A PIT maneuver causes several illegal immigrants to bail out and run into the brush

A DPS Trooper used a PIT maneuver to stop a vehicle in Kinney County after a pursuit.

During the pursuit, several illegal immigrants bailed out and ran to the brush.

The driver was eventually stopped and arrested.

The Trooper discovered a handgun and two more illegal immigrants inside the vehicle.

The driver told authorities he was being paid $1,000 per person to smuggle illegal immigrants into the United States.

He is charged with evading arrest and smuggling of persons.
