I always figured it was just around the corner due to my lifestyle and family history. Unfortunately, I was right. A suspicious thyroid nodule was found on an MRI. I reluctantly submitted to a fine needle biopsy. The diagnosis - a follicular neoplasm with papillary carcinoma. A total thyroidectomy was recommended. Determined to save my thyroid, against medical advice, I have refused surgery and am giving low carb a shot first. Only God knows the outcome, I still have a long way to go, but no regrets so far!
