Gilbert, Ilitch among many Michiganders on list of Forbes' richest in US

Quicken Loans Founder Dan Gilbert and Ilitch Holdings owner Marian Ilitch are among many people with Michigan roots on Forbes list of the Richest People in America. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, who grew up in Farmington Hills, is the highest Michigander on the list at No. 15. He is worth $33.6 billion. Hank and Doug Meijer, the co-chairman of Meijer, come in at 73rd on the list with a $7 billion net worth. Next is Gilbert who comes in tied at 108th with a net worth of $5.8 billion. Marian Ilitch is tied at 108th worth $5.2 billion and Tom Gores comes in tied for 200 with $3.7 billion.
