The Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) is a NASA mission launched on February 11, 2010, with the primary goal of studying the Sun and its dynamic behavior. As of 2022, it had completed approximately 12 years of operation. Therefore, if we are considering the current date in 2023, the SDO would be in its 13th year of operation, also referred to as "SDO Year 13." The SDO has significantly contributed to our understanding of the Sun's influence on space weather and its impact on Earth's environment. It has provided valuable data on solar activity, including solar flares, coronal mass ejections, and magnetic field changes, helping scientists better predict and understand solar variations and their potential effects on our planet.
