New born stars are created through the process of stellar birth, which occurs within vast clouds of gas and dust known as nebulae. As gravity causes the gas and dust to clump together, a protostar is formed at the center of the cloud. As the protostar continues to accumulate mass, its core temperature rises until nuclear fusion ignites, marking the birth of a new star. These young stars are often surrounded by a disk of material that may eventually form planets, and they continue to evolve and mature over millions or billions of years.
