The Cassini spacecraft was an unmanned mission launched by NASA in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Italian Space Agency (ASI) in 1997. Its primary mission was to study the planet Saturn, its rings, and its moons. Cassini's mission was one of the most ambitious efforts in planetary space exploration, and it provided unprecedented insights into the Saturnian system.

After a seven-year journey, Cassini arrived at Saturn in 2004 and began a series of intricate orbits around the planet and its moons. One of its notable achievements was the discovery of geysers on Saturn's moon Enceladus, which suggested the possibility of a subsurface ocean and potential conditions suitable for life.
