ENGLISH VERSION
Teotihuacan, Teotihuacã or Teotihuacán, was an urban center of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica located in the Basin of Mexico, 48 kilometers northeast of present-day Mexico City, and which today is known as the site of many of the most architecturally significant Mesoamerican pyramids built in America pre-Columbian. In addition to the pyramidal buildings, Teotihuacan is also anthropologically significant for its multi-family residential complexes, the Avenue of the Dead, and its vibrant murals that have been exceptionally well preserved. Additionally, Teotihuacan exported a style of pottery and fine obsidian tools that gained great prestige and widespread use throughout Mesoamerica.
