Elkmont is located in the Great Smoky Mountains not far from downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It is an abandoned tourist vacation destination from the 1930's forward. Today around 17 or so of the original 70+ cabin structures have been restored so that visitors can still enjoy them.
