Sisters are making pins to make a difference
Two little girls have been busy with a very big project. Working with scissors, pink ribbon, glue, buttons and a few giggles the young ladies are trying to make a difference. Nine year old Raekell and her six year old sister Sirayah are tackling a topic way beyond their years. They are making pins for Breast Cancer Awareness. Their mom is a mammography technician at Southtowns Radiology and says that her daughters get the credit for the pins "they wanted to know how to make a difference, and that's the idea they came up with making pins." The pins sell for one dollar and the sisters donate the money to the American Cancer Society. The girls have been making the pins for two years and say they have "used up three hot glue guns." The pins are available at the Southtowns Radiology locations and at the Making Strides walk on Saturday.
