Every day, day and night, crews of the Tor anti-aircraft missile systems of the Western group of forces in the Kupyansk direction ‘scan’ the sky. The unique capabilities of the complex allow crews to provide reliable protection for troops during the march, establishing crossings, occupying areas, as well as firing positions of rocket and artillerymen.

An important task for the crews of the anti-aircraft missile system is to provide cover for Russian convoys, as well as to combat the enemy’s ubiquitous unmanned aerial vehicles.

It takes the crew several minutes to put the complex into combat position. The antenna rising into the air is a target detection station. A protective dome with a diameter of more than 30 kilometres is formed. The detection station scans the sky 360 degrees. The guidance and tracking station automatically identifies and locks on the most dangerous targets.
