King Charles III is visiting Kenya on his first trip to Africa as British monarch

Britain’s King Charles the Third has arrived in Kenya, on his first trip to Africa since becoming king, after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth, last year.

He was greeted by President William Ruto in Nairobi.
King Charles is expected to acknowledge 'painful aspects' of Britain’s near-seven decades of colonial rule in Kenya.
