Saving A Bird Stuck In A Stove Pipe

It is quite an unfortunate thing, but such things can happen. People have been reporting that small birds, mostly phoebe birds, have been getting inside the pipes of their wood burning stoves and were unable to get out. Usually it is during <a href="https://rumble.com/v3ax7b-carpet-pythons-battle-it-out-during-mating-season.html" target="_blank">mating season</a>, when the time comes to <a href="https://rumble.com/v30dc5-slow-motion-captures-stunning-detail-on-nesting-bluebirds.html" target="_blank">make a nest</a> and the nice, covered space under the chimney looks like a good idea.

This man has been saving this small birds for several years, almost always in the exact same period of the year. It is a long and tedious process to get the small animal out of there, but the alternative is inhumane. Plus, in the man’s own words: “...it gives me a reason to clean [the stove] out."

So the man grabs his camera, mounts it somewhere safe and away from the bird’s possible flight path, then gets to dismantling the stove pipe. After removing the pipe, we see that the bird is in the wall section of the chimney and is too scared to get out, so the kind man gets outside to bang on the pipe and coax the bird to fly out.

The hapless creature takes a few minutes to figure out the shortest way out to freedom, but it eventually flies out!
