Stone crab season kicks off

Stone crab season kicks off on October 15. Here are the rules: you're not allowed to use traps with round entrances. You can use up to 5 stone crab traps per person. There's a bag limit- 1 gallon of claws, per person or 2 gallons per boat- whichever is less. Florida Fish and Wildlife is also asking you to take just 1 claw from each crab.
