In the belly of the fish, the Prophet Yunus (peace be upon him) submitted his supplication before Allah, acknowledging the wrong done to him. A prophet, Allah's chosen being (we seek refuge in Allah), how could he have committed a wrong? Despair! The injustice was against his own self. Yunus (peace be upon him) made a decision in his despair, and in his supplication, he expressed remorse before his Lord for that decision: "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers."

Despair distorts the realities before you and the greatest reality of the universe is the essence of Allah. His unity has no partner. His power is absolute. Despair tries to mislead humanity away from this divine attribute. That's why despair is a form of disbelief. It prepares humans for polytheism.

In Yunus's (peace be upon him) supplication, there is a reaffirmation of Allah's oneness to remind us that when a person's faith in the power of Allah becomes shaky, they start to unquestionably submit to worldly deities. They accept that if someone holds power, they are in control of your fate, your honor, your dignity, your life, your death, and your dominion. They believe that your destiny lies in their hands. They are the provider of your sustenance, and you interpret the events of the universe as per their interpretation. You are at their mercy.

Yunus (peace be upon him) also reiterates Allah's oneness in his supplication to make us realize that it's at the moment when faith in Allah's power starts to falter that one begins to submit to worldly deities, accepting that someone else has decided who is acceptable. You must now blindly follow that decision, even if it means trampling over the innocent, implementing that decision under the protection of the world's gods.

Every cowardly, unprincipled person in the world #astronomy #science #spacenews is, in reality, involved in shirking with Allah's power, participating in His authority. And every oppressor in the world despairs in the face of human reliance on Allah's power. But it is Allah's will that prevails. When He reveals every face, every person, every position, every power, the truth, which you thought you could win by relying on them, is revealed. You end up kneeling before the gods of despair.

Therefore, a brave person keeps their sight on the destination because their center is their faith. They know that the fallen towers around them are signs of their Lord's wisdom, and soon they will be asked, "Who else is your Lord except Me?" There will be no place to hide your negligence except to bow your head in submission. That is where you lift your head in reverence. So, let's march to that place because your leader only breathes the words "You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help." No one can make you embrace disbelief like despair. You are a nation that has united under the banner of "There is no deity except Allah," and those who believe in "There is no deity except Allah" cannot bow their heads before the claim of someone else's divinity like the perpetrators of shirk.
