Who is Mike Johnson? Mike Johnson is an American politician and lawyer who serves as the 56th speaker of the United States House of Representatives since October 25, 2023. He is a member of the Republican Party and represents Louisiana’s 4th congressional district, which covers the northwestern and western parts of the state.
What is his background? Johnson was born on January 30, 1972, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in business administration and a law degree. He worked as an attorney in private practice and for Alliance Defending Freedom, a Christian conservative advocacy group.
