Road Trip Around cape Town In an Old Jeep

We think that there is not better way to discover a new town than to rent a car and drive around on your own. So we did just that by renting an old Jeep Sahara with a hole in the roof, no back window, no radio but a lot of character. It's adventure time!

From the Head South Lodge in Cape Town where we have been staying for a few days, we decided to head across the mountains to the famous Boulders beach to visit the African penguin colony. (I loved every minute of our first stop!!!)

From there, we drove to the Table Mountain National Park to visit Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope. This national park has stunning views including the unique possibility to see where the Atlantic and Indian oceans are meeting. It is worth the walk!

From there, we heard about the best squid (calamari) in the region which is caught daily in Simon's Town. It was delicious!

From there, it was time to head to our next destination, Stellenbosch.
