38 cars in Franklin area vandalized over weekend, police say

Nearly 40 cars were vandalized in the Franklin area over the weekend, according to local police. Most of the cars had side mirrors smashed. Three were in Carlisle, the rest in Franklin, according to Police Chief Russ Whitman. No one has been charged. "We'll never know why someone would be this stupid to go out and do these acts but hopefully we can find them and arrest them and have them answer for their charges," Whitman said. Whitman said damages to work vehicles are felonies, even if nothing was stolen.
